The Lost Sheep

Open the Book came in last Friday and told the parable of "The Lost Sheep" Luke 15:1-10
The parable of the lost sheep teaches us that God cares greatly for each and every individual, and that He loves us enough to seek us out.
A long time ago, Jesus told a story to help people understand how much God loves them.
There once was a kind shepherd who had 100 sheep. Every day, he took care of them. He led them to green grass, gave them water to drink, and kept them safe from danger.
One day, the shepherd was counting his sheep:
"1... 2... 3... ... 98... 99... Oh no! One is missing!"
He looked all around—but the little sheep was gone!
Even though he still had 99 sheep, the shepherd loved each one. So, he left the 99 safe and sound, and went to look for the lost sheep.
He climbed up hills, crossed rivers, and looked in the bushes. Finally, he heard a tiny, scared "Baaa!" It was his lost sheep!
The shepherd was so happy! He picked up the sheep, carried it on his shoulders, and took it home.
Then he called his friends and said,
"Come celebrate with me! I found my lost sheep!"
