Christmas
This year we enjoyed a range of Christmas activities at Shustoke!
The pupils in Reception and Years 1, 2 and 3 took part in a fantastic Nativity performance and really enjoyed wearing their costumes, learning their lines and sharing the story of the birth of Jesus.
Year 4, 5 and 6 each led their own Christmas assembly reflecting on the importance of this time of year. They led each performance with confidence and sang some of our Shustoke favourites beautifully - Midnight, Love Shone Down and Silent Night.
We also thoroughly enjoyed taking part in an online Christingle Service with Reverend Parker. The pupils each made their own Christingle as we learnt about what each part represents.
Remembrance
This year, each class held their own Remembrance service on the school field. The pupils helped to lead the service as we reflected on what Armistice Day means. We held a two minute silence to remember those we have lost and all classes helped to plant our new Damson tree. The children also enjoyed creating their own poppy art.
