Friday 12th June
Good Morning Year 5
It has been lovely to speak to some of you on the phone this week and hear about what you've been doing. I will be making further phone calls today, so I look forward to speaking to more of you then.
Miss Mews has put up a very exciting Science investigation on our class page. It involves biscuits! The experiment is designed to help you think like a scientist. You'll need to make a prediction, carry out a fair test and record your results accurately. I'm looking forward to finding out which biscuit is the best for dunking.
Your Maths today is about reading a timetable. Telling the time with the 24 hour clock can be tricky, but it's an important skill to learn. These links might be useful to help you.
I have uploaded a sheet with 24 hour and 12 hour times on you can use too. The second question asks you to draw your own timetable for the day at school, but you can create it for your day at home. If you feel very confident then take a look at the extra maths challenges for this week, which are further down the page.
Have a great day
