Monday 15th June
Good morning Year 2!
Welcome to a new week! I hope you've all had a good weekend! Who saw some some impressive thunder storms over the weekend? There seemed to be lots of wild weather about!
Well done to the children who have already sent in their excellent work on Lundy Island and Weston-Super-Mare from last week. Don't worry if you haven't finished the tasks yet- I would still love to see more of your work come in this week! Any photos you send in will be put onto the gallery above.
This week, we are returning to the Talk for Writing booklet about Rainbows, in English. Today's task is all about compound words. These are words which are made up of two words to make one. For example, foot+ball= football. The task is uploaded below.
In Maths, we are returning to shape. There is a worksheet attached below. Watch the video in this link to help you...https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/. Click on Lesson 1.
Later in the week, we will return to our topic work on the seaside. I'm glad to hear that so many of you are enjoying this!
Do you remember learning about Croyde Bay, in Devon, last week? I saw this picture on their website earlier this evening and thought I'd share it with you. Pretty amazing sunset from Sunday evening! See below!
I hope you have a good day!
