Links with our Local Church Community

  • Regular interaction with our local church enables pupils to feel part of a wider community and to understand the importance of belonging and mutual support. Each year, we hold a Harvest Festival, inviting parents and members of the local community to join us in worship. As part of this celebration, children donate food, which is then distributed to older members of the local community, reinforcing compassion, generosity and service to others.

  • Reverend Mark and his church team work closely with the school, supporting pupils through regular involvement in school events and collective worship.

  • Our Key Stage Two children take part in an annual carol service at St Cuthbert’s Church, welcoming members of the local community. Through leading prayers, readings and performances, pupils develop confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of pride in contributing to a meaningful community event.
