We are delighted to share with you our recent Ofsted report, which reflects so much of what makes Shustoke C of E Primary School the warm, nurturing and ambitious community of which we are all so proud.
The inspectors recognised what we see every day: a school filled with kindness, high expectations and a deep sense of belonging. They praised our calm and respectful atmosphere, the strong relationships between staff and pupils, and the way children feel safe, supported and encouraged to thrive. This very much mirrored our SIAMS Inspection report from last June. It is wonderful to see the values we live by so clearly reflected in their findings.
We were especially pleased that the report highlights our inclusive approach, our strong pastoral care and the range of ways in which we support every child as an individual. The inspectors noted the strong leadership, dedication of our staff, the positive attitudes of our pupils and the excellent partnership we share with families. These strengths are only possible because of the trust, openness and shared commitment that exists across our whole community.
Of course, as with any inspection, there are areas for us to continue developing. We welcome this feedback and are already working on ensuring even greater consistency in teaching approaches across the school, as well as strengthening high-quality interactions in the early years. These are natural next steps in our ongoing journey of improvement.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our staff, who work tirelessly and with such care; to our governors, who provide thoughtful challenge and support; and to you, our families, for the encouragement, partnership and warmth you bring to our school. Most of all, we want to thank our wonderful children, whose enthusiasm, curiosity and kindness make Shustoke the special place it is.
We hope you enjoy reading the report and feel as proud as we do of our school community.
